Larry Laffer, a middle-aged virgin with bad breath and an even worse fashion sense, has arrived in the city of Lost Wages for a wild night out on the town. Tonight is the night he'll become a man or die trying.

Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards was the first entry in one of Sierra's biggest franchises. It was arguably the first "adult" game to see mainstream commercial success, but rather than trying to titillate its audience with explicit imagery, it sold itself on the appeal of its thoroughly raunchy sense of humor.

It's a text-parser based adventure that runs on the same engine as King's Quest, but it trades KQ's castles for seedy bars, and helpless damsels for money-grubbing floozies. The gameplay still relies on puzzle solving, but instead of casting spells and fighting dragons, Larry's trials involve bribing drunks, gambling at casinos, and shopping for condoms.

It's funny, tasteless, and more than a bit surreal. All in all, it's a good time!
