Abia State Governor Alex Otti has emerged as the top-performing governor in the South-East, according to the 2025 Governors’ Performance Poll released by the Forum of South-East Academic Doctors (FOSAD). The survey, conducted among 830 PhD holders, ranked governors across ten key sectors, including security, infrastructure, healthcare, and transparency. Otti secured 55.5% of the votes, with FOSAD citing the rehabilitation of over 200 primary healthcare centres, progress at the Geometric Power Plant, and major road dualisation projects.
