Christmas in Brisbane 2023 - Deccies, Christmas on Southbank, Christmas Eve trip & Christmas Day

It's that time of year again folks when we get the deccies down....mid-November! We started to see quite a few houses locally putting their decorations up so thought it would be rude not to join in on the action?!
Christmas here in Queensland is very different to that which we are/were used to in the UK. The weather is the opposite to the UK and being away from friends & family brings it's own challenges in managing emotions.
To get in the spirit we take a trip to Christmas on the Southbank to listen to some Christmas carols and see some lights.
On Christmas eve we venture down to Wet n Wild on the Gold Coast - it certainly was "Wet n Wild"!!! 15-minutes after arrival, the heavens opened and rained pretty much all day. Not quite the day we were hoping for but spending family time together is always a good thing.
Christmas Day was very chilled with an enjoyable day had by all. Having a traditional Christmas dinner with turkey and all the trimmings along Christmas pudding is an absolute must, no matter where you are in the world!
