Marx Mystery Space Ship Gyroscope Flying Saucer Playset in Original Box 1962 Works With Accessories. Here is one of the toys I had as a kid and it just amazed me. Gyroscope powered, turn the crank which takes a moment to engage the motor, it really moves within. Take the crank out and the gyro action gives the feeling that the space ship has a mind of it's own when holding in the hand. It has the plastic stand and ship holder which are not broken. I did not try the ship in the holder since the old plastic might break. The ship does have some weight to it. After winding putting it on a table is really spins for quite a while (SEE VIDEO). I guess it can do other tricks but, didn't want to over do it. As mentioned it has the stand. It also has moon men and astronauts a total of 11. It has 2 space cars, the rocket launcher and 3 rockets which all work and it has the crank. There are 2 sitting astronauts in the top of the ship, one plastic bubble is in great condition while the other is broken off and missing. There is no instruction sheet. The box has nice colors and some light wear. There is a puncture in the top. A child wrote some words on inside bottom. Classic Marx toy. Check out my vintage toy collection and advertising.
