Is this the most underrated Taylor acoustic? The Jewel Kilcher Signature Model.

Описание к видео Is this the most underrated Taylor acoustic? The Jewel Kilcher Signature Model.

True story: we seriously considered the caption “A TAYLOR that was SWIFT (ly) discontinued” for the click bait title and thumbnail. Too much?

I remember when these came out in 2000, some of the performatively macho doods I knew were like “ewwwww! JEWEL has a SIGNATURE guitar? Who’s gonna play that?” Meanwhile, I looked at it, read the specs and thought “damn, this actually looks like what I’d want.” And in 2023, 2000 me was proven correct.

The Taylor JKSM Jewel Kilcher Signature Model is a damn nice guitar. Maybe one of the most fun and immediately rewarding acoustic guitars I’ve owned. Released in 2000, there were about 700 of them reportedly made. And hilariously, after recording these clips we discovered that we might personally know five other goofballs like me who own and love these things. So if one pops up in your searches like it did for me, and it seems like something you’d be into, I’d recommend you check it out.

We wanted to demo it along with this Martin 000-15 we’ve owned and the Taylor 510 dreadnought, to rave about this size and shape and show off its definition and clarity. We don’t normally demo acoustic guitars and don't consider ourselves experts on them, so I’m sure there’s stuff I didn’t talk about and details we missed. But we think this is cool and thought it could use a nice intro showcase for the people who look.
