FlyFishRC Volador VX3.5 Build - Parts

Got and paid myself for a ‪@flyfishrc‬ Volador VX3.5 frame. I had always wanted a smaller quad than my 5" & 6" quads though I'm not going for a sub-250g build as I'll be using my existing 6S 1300mAh batteries that I use for all of my other quads (makes inventory simpler).

I've been looking at the other brands' 3.5" frames but mostly either use a 30.5mm or 20mm sized stacks where as my plan is to salvage the ‪@geprc‬ 25.5mm F7 AIO from my retired CineLog35 V1 or the Foxeer F7 Reaper V3 AIO from my P16 as the VX3.5 can accept 25.5mm AIOs and that fits the bill quite nicely. The Foxeer Aura 3.5" also has the 25.5mm mounting for electronics but the design of the front where the camera would be looked dated with the standoffs instead of having a CNC machined mount. Also, the VX3.5 and parts are easier to get and cheaper than the Aura 3.5" in my part of the world.

The recommended motors to be used for the 3.5" are the 1804 motors and although those are the same as in my Cinebot30, I don't have any spare 1804 motors lying around. The Cinebot30 has been a very reliable quad despite a few crashes; still running strong which made me not needing to keep any spares.

So, the next option besides getting new motors would actually be salvaging the larger 2105.5 motors from the CineLog35 as well. Was told that it might be too big, heavy and I might lose on flight times, but I did see Foxeer's BNF Aura 3.5" using the 2105.5 motors, so I think it should be alright.

Stoked in building this. The VX3.5 could be my new daily driver!
