Instead, he recommends saving that 20–30% down payment—even if it means picking up a second job—because building wealth in real estate takes persistence and discipline. As Kyle puts it, we’re not all Donald Trump, gifted a couple hundred million to start investing.

From the lessons of self-managing rentals to the benefits of eventually working with a property manager, Kyle dives into the real differences between short-term and long-term property management. He even suggests every investor manage their own property for at least one year before turning it over, just to fully appreciate what goes into it.
