Wolf, previously known as Tailor, has done numerous albums and performed in front of thousands of fans across the world, yet she has recently skinned her past by facing it in her debut single Believer as Anna Wolf. Believer is Anna Wolf’s most personal work up to date. The single delves into Wolf’s turbulent early life and how she refused to become the victim of her circumstance. Wolf was born in Pretoria, South Africa, to a nurturing mother and a troubled father. Her childhood was a nomadic series of events often inspired by her father’s demons chasing their family to leave town in a blind hurry. Her early music reflected a deep hurt that translated into an aggressive stage performance and eventually matured in her hypnotic stage persona. In her early career, Wolf took part in talent shows and signed her first record deal at age fifteen with Gresham Records as the front-woman for her then band Mel-funktion. Her singles: Take Me Away and Breath on Me topped South Africa’s single charts and she was noticed by fans and industry professionals alike.
