Various Local Newscasts - "The Death Of Peter Sellers" (Excerpts, 1980)

Here are some recordings made on the night that the death of British comic actor Peter Sellers was reported in Chicago. Features Walter Jacobson, Fahey Flynn, John Drury, Gene Siskel, and Carrie Cochran - as well as some short clips from a few of his best known movie roles.

*Note*: Peter Sellers is usually reported to have died on 7/24/80, and this is because it was after midnight in London that he died. So, these clips actually aired on 7/23/80 since Chicago is 6 hours behind London time.

These clips aired on local Chicago TV on Wednesday, July 23rd 1980 between 10pm and 10:30pm.
