From today, schools in England will be offering free sanitary products to girls in both primary and secondary school. This comes after three long years of campaigning by student Amika George, who first came across period poverty when she was just 17. Period Poverty affects one in ten girls, who can’t afford to buy sanitary products, with 49% missing a day of school. Amika joins Lorraine to reveal why she won’t stop until all schoolgirls are given the right of free sanitary products across Europe.
