How to polish marble tile edge with Alpha High Speed PVA polishing pads. When installing marble tile there will be exposed edges of tile that will need to be finished in some way. To avoid using transition trim or metals edges. The marble tile edges can be polished to approximately match the finish of the tile surface. It is advisable to clamp down the tile that is being polished for safety reasons, but I usually just hold the tiles down as I polish them, if you do this please use extreme care to avoid having the tile thrown at you by the high speed grinder. Apply a slight pressure to the edge of the marble tile with the polishing pad and use a back and forth motion to polish the tile. First use the medium grade pad then repeat with the fine grade pad. Some stones will require the use of a course and an extra fine pad, depending on how hard the stone is, and the level of polish desired.
