Route X98 ran from the Avon factory (later Fareva) in Morton Grove to Jefferson Park station in Chicago. It ran with no intermediate stops, using Interstate 94. What made this bus really unique was its schedule: it only ran in one direction, once a day, at 12:40 AM.
Due to low ridership, the bus ran its last run in the early morning of Saturday, March 18, 2023. On average, only 3 people were on this bus.
Of course I had to ride this route while I still could, so here is my report on board the very last run of the X98.
