Operating a total of 85-miles of track, our Mississippi Division offers a variety of transportation solutions for the Delta region of the Magnolia State. In partnership with CN Railway, our customers will have access to the 170,000-mile North American Rail Network.

Rock Island Rail’s customer-focused business model allows for strong communication with our shippers, timely service, and logistical flexibility. Our Mississippi Division specializes in transporting commodities such as scrap metal, paper products, polystyrene, PVC, and agricultural products including fertilizer, cotton, grains, and more.

Team tracks for transloading are available in the communities of Coahoma, Clarksdale, and Sumner. Rock Island Rail can provide rail equipment for loading such as covered hoppers, boxcars, and gondolas for online customers. Standby, switch engine service is available to all customers as needed 24/7.

In addition to transportation services, we offer railcar storage options for our customers. With a storage capacity for approximately 2,100 rail cars in northwest Mississippi, Rock Island Rail has two expansive yards in Clarksdale, along with sidings and auxiliary tracks that are available for long-term storage of empty cars or storage of in-transit loaded cars. We also offer railcar repair services for storage customers and third parties.
