Make the perfect lattice pie crust with this easy step-by-step technique.

Here’s our foolproof way to get a classic lattice look:
1) Have your pie dough rolled to ¼” thick, and chilled in the refrigerator. Cut the dough into strips about ¾” wide, I like to use a ruler to help keep them straight!

a. Using half the dough, lay strips going in one direction all across the pie…use longer strips for the center and shorter strips for the outer edges.
b. Then, fold every other strip back halfway just beyond the center of the pie and lay one long strip over the center of the pie perpendicular to the rest.
c. Now, unfold the folded strips over the perpendicular strip.
d. Now, we just do it again, but this time we fold back the strips that are under the perpendicular strip. And just like before, we add another perpendicular strip. And just like before, we unfold the folded strips.
e. And finally, repeat the same thing a third time. Then, you turn the pie and repeat on the other half!
