I would want fashionable clothes in different colours and styles until Yoga came into my life.

That’s when I realised that everything I’m buying is coming from Mother Nature and many times by exploiting her.

Fast fashion industry has not only caused Nature to be exploited but also creates an exploitative environment for the workers.

Also, I would never consider the fabrics of the clothes. I felt it’s best to exercise and practice yoga in tight polyester ‘dry-fit’ clothing.

Today, I know how harmful these plastic clothes are for my skin. These also pollute our waters and seas by releasing micro plastics when washed. And these end up harming the marine life.

When did we reach this stage of only taking from Nature and never living in sync with her?
