• Ground beef or lamb – 450 g
• Onion – 1 (finely chopped)
• Garlic – 2 cloves (minced)
• Bell pepper – 1 (diced)
• Tomatoes – 5 (chopped or blended)
• Tomato paste – 1 tbsp
• Salt – 1 tsp
• Black pepper – 1 tsp
• Paprika – 1 tsp
• Dried basil – 1 tsp
• Oregano – 1 tsp
• Parsley – 1 bunch (chopped)
• Olive oil – 1 tbsp (if using lean beef)

Topping:
• Parmesan cheese – 150 g (or any cheese you like)

🔥 Instructions

2️⃣ Mash them while still warm — this gives the best creamy texture.
3️⃣ In a pan, cook onion, garlic, and beef with olive oil.
4️⃣ Add tomatoes, tomato paste, and spices — cook until the liquid reduces.
5️⃣ Layer mashed potatoes, meat, and cheese in a baking dish.
6️⃣ Bake at 180°C / 350°F for 30–35 minutes, until golden.
7️⃣ Let it cool slightly before serving.
