Issues with Hyperkin’s new Retron 3 HD

In today’s video I note a few issues with the new Retron 3 HD that haven’t been mentioned yet. Some may be deal breakers for you!

Issues I found after this video:

everdrive n8 save states do not appear to work. It will work while playing but then after restarting the console the save state will be corrupt. You have to manually delete this file from your SD card to be able to play the game again.

Also found with the everdrive n8 that famicom disk system roms will not load up.

**Update 2/5/20** Regarding the Hyperkin Cadet NES controllers: Hyperkin has reached out to me claiming their Cadet NES controller IS compatible with the system. This seems to be confirmed by other reviews starting to pop up on YouTube as more people receive their Retron 3 HDs in the mail. Hyperkin was generous enough to offer me a replacement Cadet. I will be trying it out and reporting back. There is always a possibility I received a dud. However I should note the cadet has worked flawless with all my other nes consoles, clone consoles and even my mister set up. To me that sounds like a console issue, but we shall see.
