[10.9 miles round trip hike - I started at the main waterfalls area and turned around at NF-512]
Region: Ouachita National Forest
Nearest town: Langley, Arkansas
Nearest major town: Mena, Arkansas
*Difficulty level: 3.5
*Young teens and adults are preferred.
*Young kids can hike the first 1 or 1 and a half mile with ease.
*The trail goes along the Little Missouri River most of its length. So there are a lot of water features to enjoy and a lot of camping spots along the trail.
*The trail is clear. But there are some rough rocks and steep inclines at a couple sections.
*If round trip hike is too long, a group with 2 or more vehicles can park at different ends for a one way trip of 5.45 mile. Fast pace hike will take 1hr 45 minutes for one trip without stopping.
*No cell signal in the area, must load some kind of offline map beforehand.
*A lot of nice sceneries along most of the trail, especially at the beginning if one was to start from the main waterfalls.
*The longer trail that connects to the section which I spent my time on would be a total of 16 miles. I plan on doing that during the Fall or Winter.
