Tharus are one of Nepal’s largest and oldest ethnic group. They live in the villages near the jungles in the Terai region and have a unique culture and variant languages.

Swapnil always wanted to experiment with various Nepali languages in a song and with ‘Maun’ he tries to tell a tale of two deaf-mute lovers in the Tharu language from the Dangali community of Tharus from the Western region of Nepal, specifically from Bardiya.

Swapnil Sharma is here on Tuborg Open Sessions Season 2 with one of his favorite compositions to share this beautiful love story with his magical and gripping voice.
