Class 47 RETURNS to Mainline Passenger Revenue Service! At Liverpool Street & Peterborough! 18/02/23

For a couple of days at least! A rare opportunity created by engineering works on the ECML - West Coast Railways has been contracted to provide relief services in-between London Liverpool Street and Peterborough on 18th Feb-23 and 19th Feb-23.

It's been quite a while now since a class 47 operated a mainline passenger service that the public can buy a standard ticket for - This opportunity was to good to miss!

47813 and 47815 and in-charge of the MK2's with proper seating! Take note Hitachi! Some proper comfort on this de-classified service!

See the first service on Saturday 18th at both Liverpool Street and Peterborough stations with the ECS arrivals also.

2 x return services will be running on Sunday 19th Feb so if you see this video and you can get to either station - Take a day out on some proper rolling stock with haulage for a standard off-peak ticket! Don't miss out on a great day out.
