A look at Watchmen by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons.

Watchmen by Alan Moore with art by Dave Gibbons is one of those iconic books that will almost certainly come up sooner or later when you start to talk about comics with folks. I have had this trade of Watchmen for a few years now, and I have started to read it on a couple of occasions, but it never really grabbed me.

But this past year HBO came out with a Watchmen series that was a new story set 38 years after the original Watchmen story set in 1985. After watching a couple of episodes, not only was I hooked on the show, but I knew that I was going to have to go back through Alan Moore’s original work to fully appreciate it.

And this time around, Watchmen grabbed me, and man is there a lot going on in this book.

Not only that, but in the process of reading the original, I became aware of Miracle Man, which was the work that Alan Moore did right before he penned Watchmen.
