About Irene Lie:
Irene Lie is a distinguished expert and professor in patient-centred research and a critical care nurse at Oslo University Hospital. She has led ground-breaking projects in heart and lung care and has also played a central role in the implementation of Care to Translate.

Her team also conducted a research study at the hospital, utilizing Care to Translate to support heart surgery patients facing language barriers throughout their journey when interpreters were unavailable.

Annie Backman is a former M.D. and researcher who co-founded Care to Translate in 2018. She studied bio medicine and linguistics at Uppsala University before starting the Programme in Medicine.
