Kayak Camping Texas - Catch & Cook Tacos (Pedernales River)

How about a Catch and Cook on the Pedernales River? This stream in the Texas Hill Country is a tough 2 day Kayak Camping trip spanning quite a few miles.

A recent flash flood swept through its canyons and left the river full of water. The rivers gush from springs but they didn't have time to clean up the river before we got on it. This landscape was perfect for a spur of the moment camping trip. Weather was hot all weekend! The kayak fishing was decent too, ended up catching dinner!
