Now Microsoft has announced that it is giving participants the opportunity to test features that are even further away from their scheduled launch date with a new ring of "Alpha - Skip Ahead" testers.

There is no information on exactly what features people can try, but traditionally there are one or two new items in a winter window update, and is not there some kind of event just around the corner where Microsoft could make that announcement? If you value life at the forefront of stability, or simply have multiple consoles and can afford to have one that is running away, future test compilations, you will see the option to sign up "in the next few weeks" if it is an Alpha tester already, and later by invitation for others.
