Gen 7 Honda Accord covers model years 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 & 2007. They are several reasons why you might want to remove the rear seats of your car. Some of the reasons might include cleaning the dirt, installing seat cover, replacing worn out parts, lost items under the seat, fixing wear & tear, re-upholstery, detailing, hauling large cargo, accessing fuel pump filter and sender (although on Honda Accord 7th Gen, the access to the fuel pump is not located under the back seat but rather in the trunk. On the older Honda Accord, they are under the rear seat cushion. So for whatever reasons there may be, if you need to know how to remove the bottom seat cushion you've come to the right place.

Removing the bottom cushion of the rear seat is not a daunting task, it is extremely very easy and only take minutes to do. There is a single 10mm bolt centered at the back of the seat pad. Pull the cushion a bit to get a clear line at it. Once it's removed then you can lift the back of the seat pad up and then fold it forward a bit, this will free the two front hooks and let you lift it out and clear.

Step 1: Fold the seat down by pulling the release latch, making sure that the seat is all the way forward.

Step 2: Pull back the seat assembly and fold down the seats. Pull up the carpet around the seat by using a trim removal tool to release the rivets.

Step 3: Unscrew the bolts holding the seat frame down using a socket wrench. There are two sets of bolts on either side of each seat. You will also have to remove the seat bracket. If your car has a power seat, disconnect the battery before attempting to remove the bolts.

Lift the seat up and out of the car door. You may have to turn the seat on its side to negotiate it out of the car.

So where is the fuel pump located at on the Honda Accord 7th Gen? Located inside your fuel tank, a fuel pump has a small electric motor to make sure that pressurized gasoline flows to the engine to power the vehicle.

We hope this step-by-step DIY tutorial guide video is helpful to you. We will also do a video on the removal, re-installation and replacement on a 10th Gen Honda Civic coming up next..

Obviously, Aiman's auto repair videos are mostly designed for entertainment purposes. Aiman is not a professional and not a certified ASE mechanic. If you're looking for instructions or steps on how to fix or diagnose problems with your car, SUV, minivan or vehicle repair, how to remove, replace or install parts, you should always watch more than just one videos. The videos should always be used only as a guide. Manufacturers always recommend using genuine OEM parts but sometimes cheaper aftermarket can be as good as the originals.
