The comprehensive educational policy is based on firm principles of preserving the nation’s Islamic heritage and

identifying the discrete nature of the people, while continuing to enhance the development of school curricula and the

educational system and benefiting from the achievements of the times and the latest technological innovations.
Since the accession of His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani to power in the country in 1995, the educational

policies and programs at the Ministry of Education took an upturn.
The government launched its initiative of developing higher education in Qatar under the slogan “education for a new era”,

which aims to provide the best educational programs for the sons and daughters of Qatar in order to prepare them to meet

the requirements of the economic and social development process of the country.
