How to REPLACE VARIATOR OIL CONTROL VALVE SOLENOID | Maserati Quattroporte M139

Описание к видео How to REPLACE VARIATOR OIL CONTROL VALVE SOLENOID | Maserati Quattroporte M139

This video shows how I replaced the variator oil control valve solenoid on the left side of the engine on my 2006 Maserati Quattroporte M139. For my car the OEM part number is 212423.

In order to be able to do this, I had to first remove the windscreen wiper cowl followed by the dash panel upper moulding and cam covers. If you would like to see these videos, then please follow these links:

I'm doing this because I have oil leaking from the cam cover gaskets on both sides of the engine, so the cam covers need to be removed and new gaskets fitted.

Secondly, I've got an engine warning light on the dashboard. Using an ODB2 diagnostic tool, I've obtained the fault code and this suggests there could be a problem with a variator control solenoid valve or phase sensor.

In my next video I will be remove the thread from the window wiper control motor (   • Removing BROKEN BOLT from my wiper mo...  ). Someone from the past kindly left me a rounded head of a hex socket bolt, which I needed to drill to remove the windscreen wiper arm when removing the wiper cowl.

I have lots more videos coming up so if you would like to see more then please subscribe to my channel and click on the notification bell to be notified when I upload new videos.

Thanks for watching. Ade
