Snowy Range Wyoming backpacking/Hiking trip. I landed in a beautiful spot in the Wyoming Medicine Bow National Forest. I just had to get away and refocus. "It was a great three-day getaway with very few people. Compared to the packed Highway 130, the campgrounds that I drove into off the highway were full, with no room to park. I spoke with the park ranger, and they said it would calm down after Labor Day, but it is still very busy. If you want to avoid the crowds and have a 4-wheel drive with good ground clearance, I recommend heading toward Quealy Lakes. Once you get past North Twin Lake, anywhere up there is a good choice."
The Snowy Range in southern Wyoming is a spectacular choice for an adventure. Its rugged peaks, glistening alpine lakes, and captivating subalpine fir forests offer a stunning natural setting.
