Vibrant, prolific, imaginative, experimental, artistic. Just a few words to describe the work Samahaara has done in the past few years alone. After the successful Samahaara Hyderabad Theatre Festivals 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 which brought together established and up and coming theatre groups and artists of Hyderabad, unifying them in a way that changed our cultural landscape, we set our sights on performing play after hit play and repeating the shows as much as possible.

The ensemble of artists, performers, writers, theatre practitioners that worked with Samahaara, that were introduced, moulded, trained, sent out into the big bad world of theatre, television and cinema is not unknown to the twin cities today. The Samahaara Theatre Festival 2016 brings together all these people and elements in a series of our Greatest Hits and Anticipated Premiers.

A social satire to beat all social satires to the Bard’s most loved romantic comedy. An intense courtroom drama or two and an historical interpretation of our greatest epic. Of religion and Saints. Of great men and good people. Kings and commoners. The people and audience. The subtle breaking of the fourth wall and the adhering to rules.

Watch the magic unfold every Saturday of November and December, for what better way to spend the most pleasant months of one of the best cities in the world than immerse yourself in the beautiful magnetic creative world of the performing arts.
