Let's explore Ramsau Germany, Zauberwald and Lake Hintersee in the Berchtesgaden National Park. We start in Ramsau village and hike our way to Lake Hintersee via the quite enchanting magic forest (Zauberwald). This hike takes you through one of the most picturesque areas in the Bavarian Alps, Germany. At Ramsau village is the one of most photographed churches in Germany, the St Sebastian Church, which has the Watzmann mountain as a back drop. In the magic forest on the Hintersee, the idea of a primeval mountain forest has become a reality. It was created thousands of years ago by a dramatic rock fall. The Hintersee was created by this rock fall, the draining water has since sought its way through the magic forest and slipped deep into the earth through the boulders.
