ABAL Sports is launching the first sports league designed to empower Black entrepreneurship. Introducing the Black Business Dodgeball League (BBDL).

The purpose of the BBDL is to integrate Black-owned businesses and sports through weekly dodgeball competitions. Local businesses can promote their brands and accelerate their marketing goals on an unparalleled sports platform. What separates the BBDL from other leagues is that all teams, sponsors, and vendors consist of Black-owned businesses.

In the BBDL, teams are sponsored by Black-owned businesses in New York City with 12 Player Ambassadors on each team. During each game, businesses can promote their products or services through on-site activation and marketing activities. Team uniforms are also tailored to the business’ brand, with their logos and colors incorporated. Sponsoring a team in the BBDL grants the most exposure and reachability to the target audience.

Player Ambassadors play a key role in the brand awareness of their team. Like brand ambassadors, these players represent the business in a positive light while performing on the court. They’re hired not only to play but to be active in the success of the business during the season. Player Ambassadors receive a season salary, as well as opportunities for networking and professional development.

CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGN (2023 SEASON)

ABAL Sports is currently crowdfunding to form the BBDL and prepare for the April 2023 season.

The goal is to raise $80,000 that will help cover the following:

Season Insurance
Location Rental Fees
Sports and Medical Equipment
Player Jerseys
Marketing & Promotion
