Updating a Mini Lathe With a Brushless DC Motor - With Battery Operation!

Описание к видео Updating a Mini Lathe With a Brushless DC Motor - With Battery Operation!

In this video I go over how I used a PAC5523 device to power up a Harbor Freight 7x10 Mini Lathe by driving a cool 3 phase BLDC Motor I found on Amazon. This motor is plenty powerful (around 3500W Max) to drive the mini lathe. So what we need is a tri phase inverter to commutate the motor correctly. I am reusing the mini lathe components such as the power switch, speed potentiometer and direction of rotation toggle switch. The trick, however, is that since this is a 24V based solution, I can even use a power tool battery to power it! Now I can do some turning in the woods!
