اصلی شهر و بخش مرکزی این بندرگاه است. بدون شک توسعه و بسط این خیابان از دل ساختار کلاسیک و آنچه از گذشته به یادگار مانده است بر اهمیت خیابان گلستان افزوده است.
وجود بناهای قدیمی در نزدیکی بخش آغازین این خیابان از جمله ساختمان شهرداری، ساختمان قندچیان و نمای محصور مناره در میان ساختمان‌های جدید، و همچنین همجواری با خیابان سپه یا بازار سپه و شنبه بازار از دیگر مواردی‌ست که باید به آن اشاره کرد.
