John Scalici teaches a version of soli rapide and soli lent, two rhythms of initiation from the Malinke Ethnic group. One of John's teachers, Michael Taylor, aka, Taylor, (TTM Professor, Chicago) first taught Soli Lent as a guest artist a few months prior to this video. John adds a few interesting arrangement ideas to both rhythms.
