Honda Rincon 680 overheating issues: one possible solution

Описание к видео Honda Rincon 680 overheating issues: one possible solution

Hey guys. We primarily run Honda Rincon 680s out at our ranch (with a couple of 500s and a 400 still kicking around, too). Recently, my boss brought his bike to me for a routine service but mentioned that he was having some recurring overheating issues.

After checking everything over, I determined that a bunch of gunk had built up in the space between the oil cooler and radiator, but they are so close together that it's almost impossible to clean them out. To solve this issue, I ended up making some stand-off spacers for the oil cooler to get it further away from the radiator. I cleaned everything out, and the problem seems like it has gone away.

Stacking some washers would work fine if you don't have a lathe, but if you do and you'd like to make your own, my dimensions are below.

Material: 6061 aluminum round bar (scrap)
Outer Diameter: .700"
Thickness: .140"
Center hole: 15/64"

You can adjust the thickness for your own needs, but these seem to be working well for now.

Thanks for watching!
