Description: The world of marine training is changing! Today’s offshore workers can use new training technologies that are designed to speed time to competence, offer greater flexibility in training, and provide exposure to situations that are too dangerous for live training. Advancements in digital learning technologies, like simulation, are continuing at an increasing pace and now include high-fidelity virtual environments that are representative of real offshore operations. This presentation will give an overview of how Virtual Marine is using game design techniques to prepare personnel for offshore emergencies.
