Google has continued their improvements to Google Meet. If there is an issue with students that need removed, they are no longer able to reenter the Google Meet session via Google Classroom. The other piece of good news is that you do not need to reset the Google Meet link for the student to access at a later session. After a teacher closes their Google Meet session and an unspecified time (give it five minutes or so) has passed, the teacher can use the same link and the removed student will be able to access the new session.

Still having trouble, toward the end of the video (3:20) I demonstrate how you can directly add a student so that they can gain access to the session.

Please keep in mind that all students need to be out of the Google Meet session before closing out of the session.
