Trump News: Trump’s New Drug Transit List Includes India, Pakistan and 21 Other Countries

US President Donald Trump has named 23 countries as major drug transit or drug-producing nations, including India, Pakistan, China, and Afghanistan. Other nations on the list include Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, and several countries in Central America.

Trump emphasized his commitment to combating the threat of illegal drug trade affecting the United States. Afghanistan, Bolivia, Burma, Colombia, and Venezuela were flagged for failing to meet international counternarcotics obligations. The White House clarified that being on the list does not necessarily reflect poor cooperation with the US.

Recently, India’s Narcotics Control Bureau dismantled a global drug cartel using drop shipping and cryptocurrency to smuggle medicines across multiple continents, showcasing international coordination in counter-narcotics efforts.
