Space is a premium when you’re working out of a small shop.

In this video I design and build a custom wall-mounted art easel made entirely from aluminum. The goal was to create something lightweight, sturdy, and professional that could be used for painting, then folded flat against the wall when I need to convert my workshop into a paint booth.

My shop is a converted box truck container, so every tool and workspace needs to either stow away or serve more than one purpose. This easel was built with that exact mindset.

I hope this project helps inspire other artists, sign painters, and fabricators who are working in limited spaces and looking for better, more intentional solutions than off-the-shelf options.
