Описание к видео PCX - 1:87 Preview Seagrave & KME FDNY Engines

The New York Fire Department (FDNY) is the professional fire department of the City of New York.

It was founded in 1865 and is one of the largest municipal fire departments in the world. In the 218 fire stations, which are distributed over the 5 boroughs, about 430 different types of vehicles are ready for use.

The largest part is made up of fire engines. These vehicles are used for firefighting and emergency medical operations on site. Every few years, these vehicles are replaced by new ones, depending on their use.

PCX is now taking on the current types of vehicles that were produced by Seagrave and KME about 10 years ago and are still in service. The basic coloration of the vehicles in red and white is always identical, but there are small differences. For example, each vehicle has its own car number and also the respective coat of arms of the associated fire station.

In this video the following engines are shown:

PCX870220 Seagrave Marauder II - Engine 10 (World Trade Center) - Manhattan
PCX870222 Seagrave Marauder II - Engine 54 (Theater District) - Manhattan
PCX870224 Seagrave Marauder II - Engine 276 (Midwood) - Brooklyn
PCX870227 KME Severe Service - Engine 157 (Port Richmond) Staten Island
