Lauki chana ki dal

Portion size: 4-5 servings
Preparation time: 30 mins
Cooking time: 30 mins
Calories: 136 kcal per portion

Ingredients:

Lauki (peeled & diced) 1 pc
Soaked chana dal 2 cups
Oil 1 tbsp
Ghee 2 tbsp
Bayleaf 1 pcs
Black pepper 8-9 pcs
Black cardamom 1 pc
Green cardamom 1 pc
Clove 4-5 pcs
Cinnamon ½ inch
Onion chopped ½ cup
Water as required
Salt 1 tbsp
Green chilli 1 pc
Dry red chillies 2 pcs
Hing 1 tsp
Ginger-garlic paste 1 tbsp
Coriander chopped 1 tbsp
Curry leaves 4-5 pcs

Method:

Heat a pressure cooker add oil, bayleaf, black pepper, black cardamom, cinnamon and crackle it,
Then add chopped onion and cook for 2-3 minute on medium flame.
Then add ginger-garlic paste and saute.
Add diced lauki and saute it for a few seconds.
Then add turmeric powder, red chilli powder,salt, slit green chilli, soaked chana dal, some water salt, and cook for 4 whistles.
Heat ghee in a pan, add jeera, dry red chilli, hing and curry leaves.
Add this tempering over the cooked dal.
Lately add chopped coriander.
Lauki chane ki dal is ready to serve.
