Описание к видео How I learned to thrive through burnout | Carine Helsen | TEDxUHasselt

After encountering a significant life upheaval a few years ago, Carine embarked on a four-year journey of introspection and resilience. In her candid and courageous talk, "It's okay not knowing for a while," Carine shares her authentic story, delving into the depths of life's unexpected turns and profound quests. Amidst a world filled with uncertainty and escalating burnout rates, Carine's narrative of resistance, resilience, and self-discovery resonates deeply. Her message transcends mere survival; it's about thriving in the aftermath of life's ripples. From childhood, Carine's love for public speaking and entertaining was evident, with her favorite toys being a microphone, tape deck, and sound mixer. By age 15, she was already hosting radio shows, and by 30, she was presenting television programs on a regional TV channel. Despite her early passion, Carine didn't believe it was possible to pursue her dreams, nor did she fully believe in herself. As a result, she let great opportunities slip by and ended up on a different path. Now, at 50, she embraces life with newfound confidence, embodying the power of resilience. Carine loves illuminating people. As a dynamic speaker and speaker coach, she empowers individuals to find their voice and thrive on stage, driven by a passion for inspiring others. Witnessing the transformation of her coachees, both in their speaking skills and personal growth, deeply touches her heart. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
