The Core Sound Museum is proud to host local African American leaders and members of the restaurant and seafood industries in Eastern North Carolina. Join us as we hear from Nate Ellison of Merrimon, NC, who is a commercial fisherman. Herman Manley and Quinetta Manley of Hertford, NC. They own the Crack 'n Crab food truck and are commercial fishermen. Tonnia Pollard Wallace from Ayden, NC. She and her family own and run the Fryday Nite Fish restaurant. Finally, Capt. John Mallette from Jacksonville, NC. He is the owner of Southern Breeze Seafood and is also a commercial fisherman.

Our guest panel talks about their experiences in the seafood industry as a whole, the challenges that they and their families have overcome and the future that they see regarding the commercial seafood and restaurant industries in North Carolina.
