I'm really happy to see you again on my channel. In today's video, we will be discussing how to collect seeds from adenium plants and store them properly. So without wasting any more time, let's jump straight into these useful tips.

Seed pods may form naturally or you may pollinate your flowers by hand. I'll show that in a separate video.

Adenium seed pods require about 70 days to mature.

When you notice that the seed pods are almost ripe and you want to prevent the seeds from flying away, you can secure the pods by tying them with a thread. This will help keep the seeds in place and prevent them from dispersing.

Once the pods have dried and turned brown, they are ready for harvesting. Carefully remove the pods from the plant and open them up to reveal the seeds inside. Collect the seeds and discard any damaged or unhealthy ones.

This is the seed fluff or seed cotton. It helps the adenium seeds to fly around.

For the best germination rate, try to use fresh seeds.

Allow the adenium seeds to air dry for a few days in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated location. Spread the seeds out on the plate. Ensure they are in a single layer and not piled on top of each other. Turn the seeds occasionally to promote even drying.

Once the seeds are fully dry, transfer them to a suitable storage container. Use airtight containers such as small glass jars or resealable plastic bags to prevent moisture and air from entering.

Store the sealed container in a cool, dark, and dry place. If you notice any mold on the seeds, remove the affected seeds immediately to prevent contamination. For the best germination rate, try to use fresh seeds.
