Can I RESTORE a BROKEN 1979 Electronic Soccer Game?

Hi, here we have an electronic game from 1979 purchased faulty from eBay. The game is made by Grandstand and is Match of the Day Kevin Keegan's Electronic Action Soccer game. Retailed for £24.99 back then so not cheap. Kevin Keegan is a very famous English football player who retired in 1984 and then went on to manage various teams. Interestingly this item doesn't appear to be featured on any YouTube videos, apart from the original advert. Quite an unusual occurrence given the amount of content released daily.
