Join us at Regeneration Church Monash this Sunday (10AM) as Pastor Paul preaches from Psalm 9:1-20.

Welcome to a new series where we dig into the Psalms for a while, from now until February we will be covering a Psalm a Sunday. And we are covering the Psalms up until Psalm 15, but when Regen was younger four of them were already covered in the Psalms of Summer series (1,3,6,8), so we will touch on them but not devote sermons to them.
The Hebrew title for Psalms means praises. Psalms is the Greek word used for the book which means plucking or twanging of strings, thus associating them with musical accompaniment. So Psalms are praises, with music, to or about our God. And the overarching theme of the first 15 is refuge. Refuge from what? Not hurricanes or floods, but refuge from evil, and perhaps even more important, refuge from Gods anger, his wrath and judgment against evil.
