Product Spotlight: Mk3 Device Lite AR-15 Receiver Fixture

If you have a beverage handy, take a sip every time Brownells Gun Tech™ ‪@CalebSavant‬ says "The Device" as gives us this tour of the Mk 3 Device Lite from The Device Mfg. If you regularly work on AR-15s, the Device Lite is a must-have tool! It's a two-piece receiver block that holds an AR-15 upper receiver securely in your bench vise while you work on it. The receiver fits over the base of The Device, and the insert slides into the back of the receiver as a stand-in for the bolt-carrier group and charging handle. This leaves the receiver fully supported from the inside. Clamp the whole shmeer into your bench vise, and you have rock-solid support for the upper while you work on it.

The Device Lite really shines when you're installing the barrel because you can torque the barrel nut without worries about applying unbalanced pressure on any particular part of the receiver. It's also a big help when installing the forward and ejection port cover, as well as mounting an optic. BONUS: A slot in underside of The Device Lite's base helps you set up M-LOK® accessories for installation on handguards. How does this work? Caleb shows us this clever feature in action!

The Mk3 Device Lite is made of 6061 T6 aluminum, so it's plenty strong but not hard enough to mar or damage the much harder 7075 alloy of the receiver.
