Jeff spent the early part of his life in the suburbs of Chicago. Spiritually, Jeff's family is Christian, so he followed that faith early on. In his teenage years, he began to question his choice of religion. This led him on a quest that led him to practice and explore many different belief systems, including Wicca, Neo-Paganism, the philosophies of Buddhism, and other lesser known systems that focus on the ego.

Finding no comfort in any system, Jeff gave up on all things spiritual and remained an agnostic, choosing no definition to shape his beliefs. It was during this time, when Jeff was at his lowest, focusing only on his ego, that he would make a decision that would change his mind far into the future of his life.

Jeff ignored his NDE for many years, thinking it was all part of his imagination. It was only after studying other NDEs and the spiritual experiences of others that Jeff realized that many people had the same experiences as he did. Jeff had also experimented with mind-altering substances that never provided the same level of reality or memory as his NDE. Along with sharing his NDE, Jeff has a message of hope and love for those in desperate times.
