Kawayu Onsen is great acid Onsen. It has a ph of around 1.8, most acid hot springs in Hokkaido, and is popular for great strong acidic hot springs in Japan. The heat source of the strong acidic hot springs is Mt. Iou. When people bath the strong acidic hot springs, it is said that those remove old keratin, and promote the metabolism.
