POHO Town hall fire 1949

Описание к видео POHO Town hall fire 1949

The Port huron City Hall fire was one of the most remembered fires in the City of Port Huron and while the amount of destruction was great it was not the only fire that changed the look of Port Huron streets. The Port Huron County Hall remained in operation for two years following the fire continuing operations on lower floors until 1951 when the building was razed. McMorran Place now stands in the place of this building. Christopher Troy produced this short hoping to capture not only the sadness of the fire but also as a reminder of all that Port Huron has lost and why it is so important to hang on to what history we have left.
